Polish team Jagiellonia demonstrates impressive results in the 2025 UEFA Conference League tournament

The final match of the tournament will take place on May 28, 2025 at the Wroclaw Stadium in Wroclaw. Currently, Chelsea is at the top of the standings, followed closely by Victoria Gamaires, and Fiorentina is in third place. Jagiellonia from Poland are in ninth place and still have hopes of fighting for prestige – victory in the tournament provides an automatic pass to the next UEFA Europa League if the club does not qualify for the 2025–2026 UEFA Champions League.

For Jagiellonia, this tournament was a real opportunity to make a name for itself, given that the team is not considered one of the strongest in Europe. The team from Bialystok managed to get to the quarter-finals, defeating Serbian TSC in the first match of the playoffs. Initially, the Serbs opened the scoring thanks to a goal by Marko Lazetic in the 17th minute, but later the Polish team seized the initiative. In the 28th minute, Prestige Mbundu equalized the score, and Jesus Imaz and Afimiko Pululu secured the victory of Jagiellonia with a score of 2:1. In the 1/8 finals, the Polish club faced Cercle Brugge from Belgium. The first match in Bialystok ended with a convincing 3-0 victory, which, based on the aggregate score of the two games, ensured a place in the quarterfinals (3-2). Another Polish team, Legia, also made it to the quarterfinals, albeit with difficulty. It is worth noting that Jagiellonia forward Afimiko Pululu leads the list of the current tournament's top scorers with eight goals.
