Spodek

Description

Spodek is a multifunctional arena complex in Katowice, Poland, which was opened on May 9, 1971. This complex was the largest indoor venue of its kind in Poland until 2014, when it was overtaken by the Tauron Arena.

Spodek is an extraordinary venue for many important cultural and business events. Music concerts have become particularly popular. The capacity of the venue is about 11,500 people, although in practical use this number may be limited to 10,000 or even 8,000 people due to the scenery interfering with the view.

The name Spodek comes from the shape of its roof, which resembles a flying saucer or UFO. This complex is of significant importance for the culture of the city of Katowice in Poland, especially for the younger generation. He also became an unofficial symbol of the city on posters dedicated to the reconstruction of Katowice.

You can find out the schedule of events and the poster on our website. It is easy and fast to place an order for tickets. Visit Spodek to enjoy the unique atmosphere and participate in unique events.
